To commemorate the original car’s 50th anniversary, Renault have finally taken the covers off their latest embodiment of the iconic Alpine A110.
Heavily based on the Renault DeZir Concept – which was revealed at the 2010 Paris Auto Show – the new Alpine A110-50 gets its power from a 24-valve V6 engine pumping out 400 horsepower, coupled to an F1-inspired six-speed sequential gearbox.
The blue-and-orange themed car’s most striking features are a massive rear wing, a roofscoop, a huge rear diffuser, scissor doors and exhaust pipes positioned high and in the centre of the car.
It is yet to be seen whether Renault will actually build the sports car or not; but we can at least enjoy the beautiful images of the concept for now.
