Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy-R vs VW Golf R in track battle

February 28, 2017 – All-wheel drive cars are usually quicker than their front-wheel drive counterparts, but if there’s one car company that can produce fast FWD cars, it has got to be Renault.

In a new video by EVO, the Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy-R faces the AWD Volkswagen Golf R. The French hot hatch generates 275 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, compared to 300 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque in the German car.

The Golf R has an obvious power and traction advantage, but you can’t rule out the track-focused and lighter Megane RS in a race like this one.
