September 20, 2017 – We never knew a front-wheel drive drift world record existed… until we came across this video. Back in March, Alexandre Hayot broke the world record for the fastest front-wheel drive drift whilst drifting a Renault Megane RS at 230.26 km/h.
Hayot is the founder of Easydrift, which is a brand that manufactures low-grip wheels designed for people who like to drift FWD cars. He achieved the record using that technology on the CERAM track in France.
It’s worth mentioning that world’s fastest drift belongs to a rear-wheel drive Nissan GT-R, which did it with a speed of 304.96 km/h.
