SESTO ELEMENTO IS GOOD TO GO!!!! (Production Off course)

Lamborghini has confirmed that the carbon-bodied Sesto Elemento will be put into limited production.

Basically a Gallardo’s mechanical package in a carbonfibre body, the Sesto Elemento was first shown at last year’s Paris motor show. Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann used his press conference at the Frankfurt show to reveal that 20 will now be made and, as the car won’t be homologated for road use, owners will be limited to using them on track.

For the lucky few, the performance should be truly spectacular, thanks to the combination of the Gallardo LP57O-4’s 562bhp V10 engine and four-wheel-drive system with what’s claimed to be a 999kg kerb weight.

Lamborghini reckons that will equate to a 0-62mph time of just 25sec – the same as that of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. A price hasn’t been finalized yet, but the figure is likely to be equally esoteric – reckon on somewhere around the 2.8 Million Euros.
