Rimac Nevera R: 2,107 HP Hypercar Redefines EV Performance

The Rimac Nevera R, with 2,107 horsepower and advanced aerodynamics, takes EV hypercars to the next level. Only 40 units will be produced at $2.5 million each.

Rimac has unveiled the Nevera R, an electrifying 2,107-horsepower hypercar that builds on the success of the original Nevera. The Croatian company, founded by Mate Rimac, has made a name for itself by breaking performance records, and the Nevera R aims to continue that legacy. Limited to just 40 units and priced at $2.5 million, this supercar made its debut at Monterey Car Week.

The Nevera R is the latest evolution in Rimac’s lineup, pushing the boundaries with more power than the original Nevera, which already boasted 1,914 horsepower and held 23 performance records. Equipped with a new 108-kWh LFP battery pack and advanced cooling systems, the Nevera R can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 1.74 seconds, complete a quarter-mile in 8.23 seconds, and reach 186 mph in 8.66 seconds, setting new benchmarks for road-legal vehicles.

The car’s design has been reimagined, featuring a single-piece front section, a new diffuser, and a lighter, double-layer wing for improved aerodynamics. With 15% more downforce and 10% better efficiency, the Nevera R is engineered to be both fast and agile. Rimac’s signature use of carbon fiber ensures the car is the stiffest and lightest in its class, with a unique design emphasizing three-phase motors through design elements like three-spoke wheels and triple charging lights.

Inside, the Nevera R offers a low seating position and spacious interior, while its four motors and advanced torque vectoring deliver unmatched handling. The hypercar comes equipped with Michelin Cup 2 tires for maximum grip on its 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels.

Set for production in early 2025, the Nevera R will be built alongside the Nevera at Rimac’s Croatian campus. Rimac is confident that the Nevera R will appeal to collectors and entrepreneurs alike, offering a unique electric hypercar experience. Although the car won’t be sold in China due to regulatory hurdles, it’s expected that the 40 units will sell out quickly.

At $2.5 million, the Rimac Nevera R stands as a testament to Rimac’s relentless pursuit of automotive excellence, doubling down on the performance and innovation that put the company on the map.
