After securing two wins in Italy last September following a long period away from Motorsport, Robert Kubica decided to move up a level by choosing to compete in a Citroen C4 WRC car.
The Polish driver, whose return to Formula 1 remains uncertain, will take part in Rally di Como and the Rallye du Var towards the end of this season onboard the C4 WRC.
“I can’t wait to drive a car that is as quick and has been as successful as the C4 WRC,” said Kubica.
“Rallying is one of my favorite forms of Motorsport. After completing a test session so that I can get used to the car, competing in the Rally di Como will above all be an opportunity to get to a feel for the car and learn more about driving it in racing conditions.”
Rally di Como will take place on 15-17 November and will be a suitable warm-up for the following weekend’s event, Rallye du Var, which is the final round of the French Tarmac Rally Championship.
