August 19, 2015 – Young Lebanese rally driver Rodolphe Asmar has revealed plans to join the Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy in the near future, which would make him the second Lebanese driver to do so after Nicolas Amiouni.
The 19-year-old, who’s contesting the 2015 Lebanese Rally Championship on a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX and is 4th in Group N standings, wants to compete in the Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy onboard a Ford Fiesta R2 in order to gain experience on an international level, before moving to higher categories in the World Rally Championship, as he hopes.
The Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy is a joint initiative between British tyre manufacturer DMACK and British rally racing team M-Sport to help provide a cost-efficient platform for upcoming drivers to experience the FIA World Rally Championship.
The winner of the Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy is handed a full seven-round season of WRC 2 competition using a Ford Fiesta R5.
