Roger Feghali and Joseph Matar win the 50th Antibes Côte d’Azur Rally!

May 30, 2015 – Lebanon’s Roger Feghali and Joseph Matar snatched a commanding victory at the third round of the 2015 French Rally Championship, the 50th Antibes Côte d’Azur Rally.

Facing competition from 6 drivers in the highest A8W class – in a entry list that included 135 drivers, the Lebanese pair put on an outstanding performance throughout the event to finish more than 2 minutes ahead their rivals.

Feghali and Matar won five of six special stages on the first day, to enter the second and final day with a comfortable 47-second gap; a more cautious approach on Sunday saw them finish second fastest in five of the day’s six specials, but the pair were still capable of pulling clear, eventually beating Citroen C4 WRC driver Jean-Marie Cuoq by 2 minutes 9 seconds.

This is Roger Feghali’s fourth rally victory of 2015, following dominant wins in the first Jordan National Rally and Lebanon’s 31st Spring Rally and 4th Jezzine Rally.
