Saeed Al Mouri takes first place at the Kudu Pro Drift Championship

Jeddah April 1: Hankook Racing’s Saeed Al Mouri rallied for the win at the Kudu Pro Drift Championship 2013 (first round) that took place at the Dirab track in Riyadh. Saeed proved once again that he is one of the best drifters in KSA and in the Middle East. Saeed drove his Lumina SS to the win overcoming 39 pro and amateur competitors. The car was equipped with Hankook’s Ventus tires and this played a big role in the win.

For the first time in the Middle East the championship used “Decibel” to measure the level of crowd engagement and excitement, which represent 10% of the final score in the event.

The other points were distributed as follows: 10 percent for the smoke coming from the tires and 40% for the Judges’ analysis in addition to 40% for the drifting skills.

The past week was very busy for Saeed Al Mouri who participated in the Kudu championship as well as the first KSA qualification of the Red Bull CPD which took place in Hael during the dessert rally. On the other hand Al Mouri completed the Kuwait rally last month and finished 6th overall.

When asked about his feeling so far this season, Saeed stated the following: “Thank God I have participated in the first round of the Kudu Championship and won despite all the difficulties. I have also qualified to the KSA finals of Red Bull CPD. We had a very busy schedule with back to back races and this is exhausting but I will keep on tuning the car and improving it to stay on top form. I would like to thank Bin Shayhoon Group, the agents of Hankook in KSA for the continuous support.
