Saudi Gymkhana Championship set to start this weekend

The newly-launched Saudi Gymkhana Championship is scheduled to officially commence this weekend, on Saturday, November 2nd, with the first round of the championship at the Dirab Motorsport Park in Riyadh.

In order to win a Gymkhana race, a driver has to complete a complex course in a certain amount of time – usually no more than 1 to 2 minutes – while performing powerslides and going through 180 and 360 degree corners in the best and fastest way possible.

The Saudi Gymkhana Championship will visit three venues in its inaugural season; other than the aforementioned Riyadh round, competitors will meet in Dammam at the King Fahad Park for the second round and in Jeddah’s Gliding Club for the third and final round.
