French rally champion Sebastien Loeb will be back behind the wheel this weekend, 27-28 October, but will swap rally stages for a circuit as he debuts in the French GT championship driving a McLaren 12C GT3.
Loeb, who recently secured his ninth consecutive WRC championship at Rallye de France, will pilot the 12C GT3 at Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France, racing under Sebastien Loeb Racing which was set up last year.
Loeb will be partnered with Gilles Vannelet in the 12C GT3, and will join McLaren GT customer team ART GP on the grid. ART GP is looking to end the season on a high following the victory recorded last time out at Circuito de Navarra in Spain.
The 12C GT3, still only in its competitive debut season, has recorded 17 victories across Europe in a variety of championships, including FIA GT1 World, Blancpain Endurance Series and the 24 Hours of Barcelona.
