You know those times when you feel sad, angry, or depressed and you start to look for answers of your own and end up a hundred feet deeper in your agony? So you start seeking advices and help from people around like friends and family. For example, on Sunday’s lunch you throw some of your problems on the table and everyone starts contributing with extremely boring advice that makes matters worse. However and for the first time of my life when I did such thing, someone on the table came up with the most brilliant, fun and intelligent advice you can ever receive.
“Cousin why don’t you by yourself a new car!” this was the advice! And we ended up looking on the net for anything that is good looking and powerful enough to get me out of my sad state and no I don’t mean bikini models by good looking and powerful. I meant something like the new Porsche Cayman!
Honestly I have never driven this model, but I was so impressed by the victorious Porsche looks on the outside and the sexy interior. The car has the name Dr. Ferdinand Porsche written all over it. For a rich dumb driver it’ll seem to him as if it was a new version of the Carrera; however for a genetically labeled “Porsche driver” this car is from a new galaxy. It’s very mysterious and silent on the first impression.
But when you get down to numbers, sweat starts to pop out of your skin and you start to feel the heat as if you are sitting near the 6 cylinders 2.9 litters stationed in the middle, revving on 7200 RPM and producing 265 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. So when it comes to performance I am pretty sure that with the Cayman I can outrun any overpowered super car ,on my way to the country side like Ehden, if its driver try to act bold and use more gas than brains…specially that the Cayman’s engine numbers and the PDK (Porsche doppelkupplung) transmission combined with the engine layout and the astonishing traction management system the company is using on the new models is something to be considered before you try to play games!
Well when it comes to the looks it’s a Porsche, the power also Porsche. But there is one thing I don’t understand with the Cayman range of models especially when you compare the Cayman S black edition with the superior Cayman R; they both deliver 330 hp at 7400 RPM but the Cayman R leads the black edition by 2mph for top speed and 0.1 seconds lead from 0 to 60 mph! And yet the R costs less. So by all this what is Porsche trying to tell us or better said what are they trying to hide? Whatever it is they are hiding hope it won’t be breaking my heart because I would buy this car in a blink of an eye!
