November 15, 2016 – The Jeep Wrangler has looked the same for decades, because why tamper with something that’s so successful and well-known? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
However, the guys at Unofficial Use Only – a US-based custom vehicle builder and garage – decided it was time for change, so they slapped the face of a Cherokee XJ on a 2015 model year Wrangler. The face transplant is in fact so good, it’s hard to tell that it’s a Wrangler at first.
The Wrangler/Cherokee mash-up, called “Pathkiller”, is powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that’s been supercharged to produce around 400 horsepower and 406 Nm of torque.
