July 27, 2017 – When his Porsche Cayman’s engine gave up, one man decided to make something unique out of his car. So instead of opting for another Porsche engine, he installed a Ford Coyote V8.
Built by Limitless Motorworks, the V8 Cayman produces around 490 horsepower and 493 Nm of torque that are sent to the rear wheels via a Porsche six-speed manual transmission. The Cayman also received an upgraded suspension in order to counter the V8’s higher center of gravity.
To make it even more track-focused, the electric power steering from a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 race car was thrown in.
