Roger Feghali kept his 30th Spring Rally lead by going fastest on the day’s second stage in Blat. Roger finished the 17.360-kilometer stage in 10 minutes 37.2 seconds to extend the gap between himself and Abdo to 6 seconds. Nicolas Amiouni was third fastest, thus moving to third place overall; he now lies 54 seconds off the lead and 7 seconds ahead of Tamer Ghandour.
At the end of SS2, Abdo Feghali told Biser3a.com: “It was all great, I’m 7 seconds behind Roger and don’t forget he’s driving an R4 Evo X, not a Group N. I am the first car as well, so I don’t have any tyre marks ahead to help me get a better idea of my competitors’ braking points or turning points. I’m improvising, and thank God, the closest car behind me is 50 seconds away and I’m just 7 seconds behind Roger. I’m using a different set of tyres for the upcoming stages, either it pays off or we settle for second place.”
