Lando Norris claimed a brilliant victory in the Monaco Grand Prix after a tightly contested 78-lap race. Starting from pole, the McLaren driver fended off early challenges and late pressure to secure his second win of the season, closing the gap in the championship to teammate Oscar Piastri.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished second despite threatening throughout, especially when Verstappen’s long opening stint backed the pack up late in the race. Piastri completed the podium and now holds a narrow points lead.
Max Verstappen briefly took the lead thanks to an alternative tyre strategy but dropped to fourth after a late mandatory stop. Lewis Hamilton finished fifth after overcoming a grid penalty, while rookie Isack Hadjar impressed in sixth place.
Williams secured valuable points with Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz in ninth and tenth. George Russell, frustrated by Albon’s defending, received a drive-through penalty after an illegal move at the chicane.
Further down the order, Ollie Bearman recovered from last to finish 12th, ahead of Franco Colapinto and Gabriel Bortoleto. The latter bounced back after early contact at Portier. Lance Stroll, Nico Hulkenberg, and Yuki Tsunoda completed the running order.
Kimi Antonelli was the final classified finisher, while Fernando Alonso and Pierre Gasly retired after separate incidents. Strategic pit stops, tight margins, and late-race battles defined the day as Norris powered to victory and reignited the championship race in style.
Monaco once again delivered a thrilling display of racecraft, drama, and tactical brilliance on the sport’s most iconic streets.
