The first spy shots of the iconic Subaru WRX have finally surfaced on the internet, with the Japanese sports car spotted hot-weather testing in the United States alongside its predecessor.
We’re not sure if the car is the real deal or just a test mule, as earlier reports suggested the WRX model will be a stand-alone and not based on the standard Impreza. We don’t mind it looking like the new Impreza though, as long as it can do the job of being a complete track monster.
No words on performance figures, but it is rumored that the highly-anticipated 2014 WRX could get a turbocharged version Subaru’s all-new 2.0-liter FA-series flat-four engine seen on the Legacy.
