August 19, 2017 – Well-known Lebanese rally team Tony Germany Rally Skills (TGRS) is going into the 40th edition of Rally of Lebanon with 5 crews, two of which are in contention to win the Lebanese Rally Championship title.
The team’s Eddy Abou Karam currently lies 2nd in the championship standings (12 points behind leader Roger Feghali) and has spent the season getting familiar with his new Hyundai i20 R5, in which he scored his first podium at the Cedars Rally. Naturally, Eddy and co-driver Joseph Kmeid will try their best to compete for front-running positions and emulate last year’s performance that netted them 3rd place overall in ROL, the Group N championship title for Abou Karam and the Co-drivers’ title for Kmeid.
Joseph Hindy is the team’s second championship contender and is only 1 point behind Eddy in the standings. Hindy, who finished 2nd at the Cedars Rally, will drive a Mitsubishi Evo X R4 alongside Vicken Kanledjian.
Other crews competing for TGRS include last year’s RC3 class winners Henry Massaad & Ramy Menhem on a Citroen DS3 R3, Nabil Abdelhak & Samer Sfeir in a Mitsubishi Evo X N4, in addition to Emile Abou Karam & Thierry Rouhana in a Mitsubishi Evo IX N4.
It is worth mentioning that Vicken Kanledjian and Joseph Kmeid are also competing for the Co-Drivers’ championship and currently sit 2nd and 3rd respectively in the standings.
