April 18, 2016 – Appealing to a fresh group of customers to the MINI family, the all-new MINI Clubman has arrived to the Bassoul-Heneine sal showrooms signaling the start of an exciting era in the brand’s 55 year success story. In 2007, MINI wrote a new chapter in the brand’s history when it extended the product family by a vehicle concept that was both innovative and stand-alone.
In 2015, MINI takes the Clubman’s success story further, transporting it – literally – into a new dimension. Now in Lebanon, the commanding, elegant and noticeably matured third generation has clearly grown both inside and out while carving out a new vehicle class for MINI. Even in the new premium-compact segment it is consciously designed as the “smallest large car”: true to the maxim of the classic Mini, it offers maximum interior space on a minimal footprint.
With increased length and width than its predecessor, the new MINI Clubman provides plenty of space to meet the demands of youthful, urban mobility. Classic MINI design cues, such as wheels at the far corners of the car, short overhangs and the incipient wedge shape of the side, signal the dynamic driving experience, while its familiar compact proportions hold the promise of that genuine go-kart feeling. Viewed from behind, the new MINI Clubman comes across as broad and athletic and the typical split rear doors make the MINI Clubman a six-door model.
The interior of the new MINI Clubman has also expanded along with the exterior. The cabin’s new dimensions are made profound through a generous sweep, clear surfaces and a more “grown-up” sense of space. The defining element of the MINI Clubman’s interior is its broad instrument panel and as in the new MINI 3-door and 5-door, the instrument cluster in the new MINI Clubman is positioned on the steering column.
For optimum everyday utility, the new MINI Clubman offers an abundance of storage options. Smart solutions, including a multi-adjustable rear seat and a load space that can be made level when required, all ensure segment-style functionality.
The 3 and 4-cylinder petrol engines available range from 102 hp through to 192 hp and for the first time in a MINI, the Clubman is available with an optional 8-speed Steptronic transmission. The driver will also enjoy the highest level of ride comfort and brand-based go-kart feeling ever seen in a MINI thanks to the MINI Clubman’s high-quality suspension technology that is unique within the competitive field.
