March 4, 2015 – Attracting a fresh group of customers to the MINI family, the all-new MINI 5-door Hatch has arrived to the Bassoul-Heneine sal showrooms signaling the start of an exciting new chapter in the brand’s 55 year success story.
The British icon is now bigger in size, has increased interior space and boasts impressive TwinPower turbo engines for both the Cooper and Cooper S. The new model also dazzles with fresh exterior colours and an alluring array of new state-of-the-art options, such as optional LED headlights, 2-zone AC, 8.8” screen and head-up display.

Offering new levels of excitement, the nifty new 5-door model continues the legacy of the first ever automobile in the premium small car segment and sets new standards within its competitive segment in terms of legroom, headroom and boot space. The rear legroom has been increased by 72 millimetres and there are 15 millimetres more headroom and three distinct seats in the rear with a 60:40 folding split, making the car a genuine five-seater. In addition, the luggage compartment space has been increased to 941 litres.
In typical MINI fashion, a high level of interior customization is possible via a model-specific selection of upholstery colours, interior surfaces, colour lines and other design features. Numerous other MINI Yours programme features are also available to customize the car giving it its own distinctive and exclusive personality.

The all-new MINI 5-door Hatch comes also with a range of MINI Connected features that enhance the driving experience by keeping the driver connected with the outside world through both Android and iPhone. Once the MINI Connected App is downloaded, other cool features become available including worldwide web radio at the touch of a button and access to Facebook, Twitter and RSS news feeds. All of which are displayed on an innovative MINI central display which measures 8.8” and sits neatly at the heart of the dashboard.
The all-new MINI 5-door Hatch is also packed with the latest safety features including airbags, rigid passenger cell and driver assistance systems such as collision and
pedestrian warning, head-up display, Parking Assistant, rear view camera, a camera-based active cruise control, collision and pedestrian warning with initial brake function.

At the launch of the all-new MINI 5-door Hatch, there will be two engine variants with BMW Group’s latest generation 3 and 4-cylinder engines with TwinPower Turbo Technology. The 4-cylinder petrol engine in the MINI Cooper S 5 door is 192hp and the three-cylinder petrol engine with a peak output of 136hp.
As with every other MINI, the latest generation of engines ensures an exceptional balance between driving fun and fuel consumption. This is supported by the newly developed 6-speed automatic transmission, as well as extensive MINIMALISM fuel-efficiency technology.
MINI’s typical go-kart feeling on the road is guaranteed thanks to a model-specific version of the refined suspension technology. Dynamic Damper Control with adjustable dampers is available as an option, which, when paired with the standard MINI driving modes, ensures a ‘made-to-measure’ approach to performance driving and comfort.
