The next generation Toyota Supra

After our detailed analysis of the Toyota GT86, we believed the little sports car, if successful, could make way to its bigger sister, the Toyota Supra [article here]

Rumors are now back, and they’re indicating that a Supra successor could be well on its way.
According to Motor Trend, the Supra successor’s chassis will be based on the GRMN MRS prototype.
The magazine also reports that the car might feature a mid-mounted hybridized 3.5-liter V6 engine, powering the rear wheels, and two electric motors turning the front wheels.
This configuration would allegedly give the car a total output in excess of 400 horsepower as well as a four-wheel drive system.

If the rumors turn out to be true, the Supra might hit the showrooms by late 2015 with a base price of $60,000.
