The final 2 rounds of 2012-2013 championship will take place between 22 and 23 March.
ATF will be heading to Bahrain with a tough task insight. He trails Nabooda’s Clemens Schmid by 10 point in his quest to defend his title. The mission is not impossible but the race will prove very difficult in normal conditions. On the other hand Faisal Binladen is leading the silver category and will be looking to maintain his lead and clinch the title to prove to everybody that he is back on the high, after missing several seasons. Binladen heads his closest rival Mohammad Mattar by 15 points. The competition will be very fierce especially that Mattar will be racing on home soil.
Commenting ahead of the final rounds, Faisal stated: “I believe that things got more difficult after the great performance I had at the Reem circuit last month. I am now leading the silver category over both Zeid Ashkanani and Mohammad Mattar. Mohammad grabbed the 2nd place from Zeid in the last 2 rounds and he is fighting to snatch the championship at the last round. I will do my best to secure the title and help the team gather more points.”
Red Bull Athlete ATF also added: “The final rounds in Bahrain will bring the championship to a closure after witnessing a lot of changes and a lot of thrill. We still hold realistic chances to win the title. We are fighting on 3 fronts and we hope that we will win in all 3 of them.”
