March 30, 2017 – The Formula Drift championship has a variety of brilliant drift machinery, including Vaughn Gittin Jr’s Ford Mustang RTR and Chris Forsberg’s Mazda MX-5.
2015 Formula Drift world champion Frederic Aasbo, on the other hand, decided to do things differently: he’s using a Toyota Corolla Hatchback (called Auris in Europe) in this year’s championship.
The small drift car produces 1,000 horsepower and 1,152 Nm of torque out of a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder Toyota 2AR engine that runs on flex fuel. Check it out in the video and photos below.
