The 2025 Bentley Flying Spur will debut on September 10, featuring a 771-hp plug-in-hybrid V-8 powertrain and an updated luxurious design.
Bentley’s luxurious four-door sedan, the Flying Spur, is set for a facelift and will debut on September 10, featuring a powerful 771-hp plug-in-hybrid V-8. This new version will pack the same plug-in hybrid performance as the recently redesigned Continental GT, delivering both luxury and power.
Bentley has teased the upcoming model with a new image, revealing minor design updates. The company confirmed in July that the Flying Spur will adopt the “Ultra Performance Hybrid” powertrain, combining a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine producing 584 horsepower with a 187-hp electric motor. Together, they generate an impressive 771 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque.
The electric motor draws power from a 25.9-kWh battery, offering up to 51 miles of electric-only range based on the European WLTP test cycle, though real-world EPA estimates suggest a range closer to 40 miles. In the Continental GT, the electric motor can propel the car up to 87 mph on electricity alone, but these figures may vary for the Flying Spur.
The Flying Spur’s powertrain is part of a broader trend across the Volkswagen Group, sharing its hybrid system with models like the Lamborghini Urus SE and Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. While specific details about the updated Flying Spur’s design remain scarce, Bentley promises to reveal more soon.
Fans can expect more details about this luxury hybrid sedan in the coming days as Bentley prepares to unveil the complete model on September 10.
