July 1, 2015 – After a 1-year absence, Tony Helou is returning to the Lebanese Rally Championship during the third round of the 2015 season, the 24th Cedars’ Rally, which is taking place this coming Sunday.
Helou will compete in the front-wheel drive class in a brand new Citroen DS3 R3 alongside co-driver Elie Moussallem, and the car will be run and maintained by the Kazan Performance Tuning team.
Henry Massaad (Renault Clio R3T) and Robert Aaraj (Citroen DS3 R3) will be Helou’s main rivals during the event, but their rich experience gives them a head start. Other competitors include Elie Nehme, Walid Chlink and Rony Kanaan who all drive Clio R3s.
Tony Helou’s last appearance came in the 2013 Rally of Lebanon, when he drove a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX next to co-driver Ziad Chehab and won the Promotion Cup.
