Track Battle: McLaren P1 vs Porsche 918 Spyder

It’s here, one of the most anticipated battles in modern automotive history, the McLaren P1 vs the Porsche 918 Spyder on a racetrack, thanks to EVO magazine.

The two cars are super attractive, immensely fast and almost evenly matched. McLaren’s P1 hybrid powertrain – comprising a 3.8-liter V8 engine and one electric motor – produces 903 horsepower and 900 Nm of peak torque, whereas the heavier all-wheel drive Porsche churns out 887 horsepower and 1275 Nm of torque thanks to a more “electrified” powertrain featuring a 4.6-liter V8 and two electric motors.

They’re faster than anything else currently on sale – except for maybe the Ferrari LaFerrari that, we assume, can keep up with the two of them – but, which is faster between the two? Find out in the video below.
