Video: Thierry Neuville smashes Colin’s Crest jump record

February 16, 2015 – Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville put on a brilliant performance during Rally Sweden this past weekend, to finish second overall, just 6 seconds behind eventual winner Sebastien Ogier.

Neuville’s blistering pace was clear when he managed to set a new record for the longest jump at Colin’s Crest; the Belgian driver and his Hyundai i20 WRC flew for 44 meters, breaking the previous record of 37 meters, which was set by Ken Block in 2011.

In case you were wondering, every year thousands of spectators gather to watch cars speed over the snow-covered crest, with an award named in honour of 1995 world champion Colin McRae going to the driver who flies the furthest.
