Volvo and their official performance partner Polestar have presented the Volvo S60 Polestar performance concept car. The pre-production model that is set to fight against rivals such as the BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG.
It packs a highly impressive 508hp and 575Nm of torque from its turbocharged Volvo T6 inline-six engine with power transferred to the wheels via a manual 6-speed transmission and the Haldex Gen4 XWD (cross-wheel-drive) system.
That’s enough for a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of over 300 km/h.
There is only one for the time being, built for “one specific client.” Polestar says more details will be revealed soon, and more such sedans could follow depending on market response.
