Looking for the most stunning virtual car enthusiast paradise where you’ll spend most of the time just observing your cars because they look so damn good in HD? then Forza 5 is your best friend. Or more likely, the limited edition of Forza 5.
From the moment you lay your hands on the fancy steelbox, going through the Audi, Forza, & Xbox One stickers hidden inside, to the impressive gift cars you’ll receive, the Limited Edition of Forza 5 will keep you occupied for endless hours, with a huge risk of losing touch to the social life (which isn’t a very bad thing, trust me).
I was hypnotized the moment the game started, where they let you walk around a McLaren P1, it’s like they’re telling you “go ahead, you wanted graphics? Look at those graphics, forget about the world, THIS is what you always wanted”. But of course, a real car enthusiast doesn’t eat graphics as a full meal, car handling and simulation is the essential element, so here we go: Hit the settings, disable all the assists, and try to make it through a corner in the 900+ hp rear wheel drive hypercar without feeling like you’re sitting on a raging bull (sorry, Lamborghini).
All of this is standard edition gaming, after you’re done with your first test drive, limited edition magic happens, just say the words “Xbox, enter a code” and the extremely responsive Kinect 2.0 pops out a window, with the most excited gamer in the world on camera, and it asks you to aim the barcode which comes inside the steel box to the camera, which of course, you do simultaneously; after you’ve done that, and you get the message which tells you that you now own all that magic, take a deep breath, and go to your in-game inbox, and be treated with 3 of the sickest car packs the game has ever rocked:
The Limited Edition car pack which includes 5 of the most prestigious cars (yes, including the McLaren P1), with a custom “limited edition’ livery, and a custom tune made by the game developers.
The VIP car pack featuring five tasty cars only available to VIP members, such as the 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, and the 1965 Shelby Cobra. This car pack also includes 2x player reward acceleration, access to exclusive multiplayer events and an exclusive in-game player card badge.
Last but not least: The Day One car pack, each with a Day One-themed livery and brilliant tuning package created by our friends at Turn 10, these cars are the 2010 Audi TT RS Coupe, the 2013 Ford Focus ST, and the 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera.
In addition to the cars mentioned above, expect more surprises to hit your gift cars inbox, not gonna spoil it for you, but it’s seriously worth it. The limited edition started out at $70, now it’s at a lower price of $60 (or even lower, depends on your relationship with the store owner)
