A young woman was recently involved in a scary accident on a highway in Belgium, but miraculously survived the ordeal.
Jasmien Claeys, driving a first-generation Ford Focus, attempted to cross two highway lanes and join the exit, but was unaware of the slow traffic ahead, ultimately crashing in the back of a large truck before getting hit by another truck coming from behind.

Astonishingly, the woman lived to fight another day. Claeys, who broke her top two vertebrae and shattered her hand, confirmed that she is “recovering exceptionally well” in an interview with Belgian news station HLN.
Although we’re glad she’s okay, we cannot but blame her for this avoidable incident.
