June 6, 2012 – A 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO specially built for legend Stirling Moss has reportedly become the world’s most expensive car.
According to Bloomberg, the Apple-Green Ferrari has been bought by American car collector and billionaire Craig McCaw for 35 Million US dollars from Dutch businessman Eric Heerema, breaking the record of 32 Million US dollars previously set by a 1964 Ferrari GTO.
Moss’ career-ending crash meant that he would never be able to race the car.
