February 10, 2017 – Thierry Neuville dominated the second day of Rally Sweden, the second round of the 2017 World Rally Championship, and snatched the lead from Toyota’s Jari-Matti Latvala who won the opening stage yesterday.
Hyundai’s Neuville set the fastest time in five (SS2-3, SS5-6-7) of today’s seven special stages and ended the day with a 28.1-second lead over second-placed Latvala, who scored the win in one special stage (SS4).
M-Sport driver and SS8 winner Ott Tanak rounds out the top 3 after 8 special stages, while Citroen’s Kris Meeke ranks 4th ahead of Monte Carlo Rally winner Sebastien Ogier.
