Jari-Matti Latvala seems to have put Monte Carlo woes behind and is leading the rally after 10 stages. Jari was switiching the lead with his former teammate and Citroen’s 2nd driver, Mikko Hirvonen until he was able to pull a 17 seconds gap. Jari’s teammate Petter Solberg is now in 3rd position only 2 seconds behind, with a potential 1-2 finish for the Fords in sight. Last year’s runner up Mads Ostberg is 4th 32 seconds a drift. Yesterday’s leader Dani Sordo has suffered many engine problems and was obliged to retire, while reigning world champion Sebastian Loeb losing two minutes with a trip off the road and Evgeny Novikov now holds fifth for M-Sport Ford. Loeb has already recovered from 11th to seventh.
