Yamaha reveals new R1-based MT-10 naked bike

November 17, 2015 – Yamaha has a revealed the new MT-10 naked sports bike at the 2015 edition of EICMA, one of the biggest annual motorcycle shows in the world, in Italy.

Based on the YZF-R1S, the MT-10 is powered by a 998cc crossplane engine that delivers “massive levels of linear torque in the low to mid speed range for adrenaline-charged performance”, according to the Japanese firm.

The MT-10 shares much of its components with the R1, and its electronics include switchable traction control with three levels, three riding modes, an assist and slipper clutch and cruise control.
