After finishing second behind Abdo for the second time this season we met Ziad Feghali and talked to him about the race…
We saw you preparing much better this time especially that you did all your runs in test day. In the race you came close to Abdo Feghali but you didn’t win. Tell us why?
There is no specific reason. I need more time on the car to get used to it much better. We need to strengthen the car much more so we can get closer and beat Abdo.
In every run Abdo was extending the lead by 1 second. Why was this happening and not the opposite?
I don’t know maybe the car needs more power and work.
[singlepic id=3315 w=320 h=240 float=left]Do you consider that their car is better?
Not necessarily, don’t forget that Abdo is used to his car and he has been racing on it for 6 or 7 years.
So you need more time?
Not a lot of time.
On the famous graveyard turn, you were cutting the curve while Abdo was taking an outside line, was this behind him being faster?
Every driver has his own way of driving. In my opinion my way makes me get a faster time through the curve, and maybe he thinks differently. Chronometer times prove that if you don’t go a lot into the outside you get faster times.
How much did you find a lack of grip on the road and how much did it bother you?
The lack of grip was for me and all the drivers. It’s very annoying but its okay since it is the same for everybody.
What do you promise us in the final Hill Climb?
Every time we will be better and better.
