Ariel has unveiled the Atom 4RR, its most powerful model to date, celebrating 25 years of the lightweight sports car. Limited to just 25 units, this special edition is built for serious track performance while remaining road legal.
The 4RR is based on the Atom 4R but takes things further with a tuned 2.0-liter turbocharged engine sourced from the Honda Civic Type R. With upgraded fuel and oil systems, output jumps to 525bhp and 406lb ft of torque, making it the most extreme Atom ever.
While official acceleration and top speed figures haven’t been confirmed, the 4RR is expected to beat the Atom 4R’s 0 to 62mph time of 2.7 seconds and exceed its top speed. With an extra 125bhp, performance gains are guaranteed.
The design focuses heavily on aerodynamics, featuring a Formula One-style front splitter, sharp bodywork, a slim rear wing, and large intakes at the rear. These elements are aimed at drivers who demand serious grip and airflow on the track.
With only 25 examples being produced, the Atom 4RR marks a bold send-off for this milestone anniversary. Details on availability and specs will be announced later in the year.
