2026 BMW M2 Adds Street Legal Track Package

The 2026 BMW M2 is getting a major performance upgrade with the introduction of a new street-legal track package from BMW M Performance Parts. Building on the already powerful coupe, this new version aims to deliver even sharper handling and improved track-day performance while remaining road legal.

Originally launched with 453 horsepower and a manual transmission, the M2 gained an additional 20 horsepower for the 2025 model. Now, BMW is taking it further by preparing a track-focused package expected to launch with the 2026 model. A teaser from BMW M hints at serious upgrades, including aerodynamic enhancements and suspension tuning.

One standout feature is a large rear wing mounted on the trunk, confirming the car’s motorsport intent. While most of the car remains hidden under camouflage, the aggressive look suggests upgrades beyond just appearance. Expect possible chassis improvements, carbon-ceramic brakes, and perhaps a slight bump in horsepower from the 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six.

It’s unclear if the package will be dealer-installed or included during vehicle ordering. Either way, it promises to push the M2’s limits while keeping it street legal. BMW is expected to reveal full details soon, making the 2026 M2 even more appealing to driving enthusiasts.
