BMW Canada has introduced the limited-run 540i xDrive Legacy Edition, a modern tribute to the iconic E34 540i. To mark the occasion, BMW parked the new model beside the original, and while the latest version is impressive, the classic still captures attention.
This Legacy Edition is based on the G60-generation 5 Series and comes equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine. The performance numbers are solid: 370 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, sent through an eight-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. The result is a 0 to 62 mph sprint in just 4.7 seconds—matching older M3 performance.
