Porsche has introduced the latest additions to its iconic 911 lineup: the new Carrera 4S, available as a coupe, cabriolet, and Targa. These all-wheel-drive variants continue to blend everyday usability with thrilling performance and now come with more power and updated tech.
Under the rear deck, all 4S models feature a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine, now producing 473bhp. This increase is partly due to the adoption of an intercooler setup borrowed from the 911 Turbo. Power is sent through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission to all four wheels.
The AWD system includes a water-cooled front differential and maintains a rear-biased setup for a dynamic, engaging drive. Standard equipment includes 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, Porsche’s torque vectoring system, a sports exhaust, and brakes sourced from the GTS model.
The Targa 4S gains rear-wheel steering, while all models include LED headlights, wireless phone charging, a leather-trimmed cabin, and plenty of custom options. Cabriolet and Targa versions can even be ordered with optional rear seats.
In performance terms, the 4S Coupe with Sport Chrono reaches 62mph in just 3.3 seconds and tops out at 191mph. The Cabrio and Targa are slightly slower, but still offer serious speed with everyday luxury.
