Skoda has unveiled the Vision O concept, offering a preview of the next-generation Octavia estate. Debuted at the Munich Motor Show, the Vision O showcases Skoda’s evolved Modern Solid design, emphasizing sleek lines and passenger-focused innovation.
The estate features a clean, minimalist design with impressive practicality. While the current Octavia isn’t due for replacement until 2028, Skoda is clearly planning ahead. The Vision O delivers spaciousness, including 650 litres of boot space, expandable with the seats folded. Thoughtful touches like a portable Bluetooth speaker and a hidden fridge add functionality.
Design highlights include a bold front end with a new “Tech-loop” grille and headlight signature, light-up Skoda badges, and a black floating roof. Inside, the Vision O goes high-tech with a full-width 1.2-metre digital display and vertically oriented infotainment screen. There’s also a rotary dial, touch controls, and magnetic phone charging.
Skoda’s upgraded voice assistant, Laura, adds smart features for everyday convenience. Whimsical elements like four hidden umbrellas and pillarless doors give it a concept feel, though not all features may reach production.
The Vision O hints at an all-electric Octavia arriving by 2028, while the current version is expected to remain available for combustion engine buyers.
